The PADI Master Scuba Diver rating is also known as the blackbelt of recreational diving. This is the highest non-professional recreational scuba diving qualification. This certification shows the diver has completed extensive underwater training and experience. Fewer than two percent of divers achieve this rating, and flashing your Master Scuba Diver card signifies your dedication and expertise.
To become a Master Scuba Diver, follow these steps:
Earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification
Advance to PADI Advanced Diver Qualification
Complete PADI Rescue Diver training (or qualifying certifications)
Earn five PADI Specialty Diver certifications
Go diving and Log a minimum of 50 dives
Submit your PADI MSD Application

Yes, we design bespoke diver training programs and can include accommodation to take you from your current level all the way to Master Scuba Diver. Depending on your current dive qualifications and the number of logged dives, this can take anywhere from two to four weeks typically. We allow you to save time by completing the coursework at home via e-learning first and follow that up with water training.
